Japan Day at The Wavell School Tuesday 20th July 2010 |

Two week Exchange Student visit, June 2010 |
| We hosted a student from Oyodo Junior High School, Miyazaki, Japan. Haruki joined 9W and took an active part in all aspects of school life at The Wavell. |
"Everyone was really nice. Especially my friends and the people who were my buddies" "I learned Japanese languages, cultures & traditions from Haruki. Now I also know a lot more about Japanese schools rules and regulations" "I just wished she could have stayed longer" |

| As part of Rights, Respect & Responsibility Day our stand taught origami and served up green tea. Students and visitors also tried out basic greetings in many different languages including Japanese. |
