Japan Day at The Wavell School Tuesday 20th July 2010

The whole school spent a day learning about Japan.

Two week Exchange Student visit, June 2010

We hosted a student from Oyodo Junior High School, Miyazaki, Japan.
Haruki joined 9W and took an active part in all aspects of school life at The Wavell.

"I learned Japanese languages, cultures & traditions from Haruki.
Now I also know a lot more about Japanese schools rules and regulations"

RRR Town Day Thursday 22nd October 2009

As part of Rights, Respect & Responsibility Day our stand taught origami and served up green tea.
Students and visitors also tried out basic greetings in many different languages including Japanese.

Visit of Akiko Uemura Friday 16th January 2009

We were delighted to have a real-life Japanese person visit our club for the first time.
We practised our speaking skills and made origami frogs together.
